Sunflower Walk

It’s that time again… That familiar chill in the morning… taking a second before deciding to switch from iced to hot coffee… new schedules…

That’s right friends— we’re on the brink of Fall!

Although summertime tends to be my favourite (as I am an avid swimmer and sunbather), Fall has its own kind of charm that I enjoy a little bit more each year it comes around.

I actually love the change of the seasons— that’s part of why I love living on Vancouver Island— because you really get to experience the best of what each season has to offer; the subtleties of each morphing into one another… Like switching off in the grandest of relay races.

If you know me, then you know how much I love seeking out fun local things to do— in any season. A couple weekends ago, my cousin and I got tickets to roam the annual Sunflower Walk. Annual since last year (and yes I WAS THERE THEN TOO). I absolutely sense a tradition forming.

Walking amongst a giant field of sunflowers is about the happiest activity I can think to do. I mean, literally, frolicking in a field of flowers. So, without shame, I dawned my floppiest hat, flowiest dress and biggest grin to go meet the yellow guys.

OH YEAH and we took a lot of pictures.
